Earlier today, on Christmas Eve, Hawaii's Kilauea volcano produced a series of high lava fountains which reached sustained heights of 1,400 feet! This occurred mainly late last night, but also continued into the early morning hours, representing episode 39 of Kilauea's intermittent broader eruption which began 1 year ago.
