In 2025, at least 13 hydrothermal explosions occurred at the Yellowstone volcano in Wyoming. These were all nonvolcanic explosions caused by sinter plugging part of a geothermal vent where normally rising steam would escape. Today's video quickly showcases a bunch of these explosions, which ejected material up to 40 feet into the air.
