One of the three volcanoes that comprises the famous Easter Island is not extinct. As, the Terevaka volcano appears to have erupted around 10,000 years ago, meaning this complex just barely fits the definition of an active volcano. Today's video discusses this volcano, along with the geology of Easter Island as a whole, also discussing what materials the stone statues known as Moai were carved from. While Terevaka has not seemingly shown any signs of life since it's last eruption, it could theoretically erupt at some point in the future.
