A petition led by TV star Louise Thompson has triggered a debate in parliament on maternity services following her own traumatic experience. The Made in Chelsea star was left with a range of symptoms, including PTSD and the autoimmune disease lupus, after almost dying during the delivery of her son Leo in 2021. Ms Thompson told Sky's Sarah-Jane Mee she will carry on campaigning on maternity care because "I'm just so angry" and "women deserve a safe and dignified birth." #skynews #politics #maternity #birthtrauma SUBSCRIBE to our YouTube channel for more videos: http://www.youtube.com/skynews Click here to get Electoral Dysfunction podcast for free: https://podfollow.com/electoraldysfunction Politics at Sam and Anne’s podcast is available for free here: https://podfollow.com/politics-at-sam-and-annes Follow us on Twitter: https://twitter.com/skynews Like us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/skynews Follow us on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/skynews Follow us on TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@skynews For more content go to http://news.sky.com and download our apps: Apple https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/sky-news/id316391924?mt=8 Android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bskyb.skynews.android&hl=en_GB To enquire about licensing Sky News content, you can find more information here: https://news.sky.com/info/library-sales
