Tributes have been paid to two police officers who died following a car chase in Middlesbrough. PCs Tom Clough and Matthew Blades were killed after a car which was being driven the wrong way down the A66 collided with their police vehicle. Five people in the other vehicle also died in the crash. Their Volkswagen Passat was being chased by different police car, but the pursuit had ended several minutes before the fatal collision.
