Labour MP Sarah Smith has defended Keir Starmer over the ongoing Peter Mandelson scandal. When questioned about the ongoing fiasco, she said: "I think what's important is the publication of the documents and the information surrounding the appointment (of Peter Mandelson). Whilst that will be a significant ask and there are a lot of documents, that is what we must take very careful view of." She added: "I do trust what Keir has said and that the information he had available to him did not expose the depth of the issues of Mandelson."
