Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayIn Cambodia, rising temperatures and recurring droughts are threatening crop yields and farmers’ incomes in rain-fed agricultural areas. To help communities adapt, HEKS Cambodia is working with smallholder farmers to introduce cover cropping, a simple, affordable practice that improves soil health, retains moisture and strengthens resilience to heat and drought. Supported by the UNDP-Adaptation Fund Climate Innovation Accelerator (AFCIA), the initiative has established 331 hectares of regenerative agriculture and trained 1,600 farmers, most of them women, across Preah Vihear, Battambang and Kampong Thom. The project is supporting climate-resilient farming, improved livelihoods and long-term food security.
