BOSTON — A four-alarm fire at an East Boston home spread to three other buildings and damaged two more Sunday evening, according to the Boston Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to a multi-family home at 263 Princeton St. around 6 p.m. and found heavy flames coming from the back of the home. Crews knocked down the fire within an hour.

Three buildings on Princeton Street and three others on Saratoga Street, which sits adjacent to Princeton Street, were damaged by the fire. The back porches of the home where the fire started were completely burned through.

Photos and video of the fire posted to social media show that smoke from the fire could be seen from downtown Boston.

The fire department has not said whether anyone was injured or how many people were displaced.
