This year’s edition is especially meaningful as it coincides with the Philippines’ hosting of the ASEAN Summit. One of the festival’s biggest highlights is the ASEAN Showcase, which shines a spotlight on Southeast Asia’s shared culinary heritage while celebrating the unique flavors and food traditions of each ASEAN member nation. It’s a delicious reminder that while every country has its own distinct identity, food remains a powerful way to connect people across borders.

Travelers and food lovers alike can sample authentic cuisine and specialty products from participating embassies and their local partners representing Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, South Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam. One of the experiences I always look forward to at events like this is watching talented chefs prepare traditional dishes while sharing the stories behind them. Asian Eats 2026 features an exciting lineup of live cooking demonstrations, including Chef LV Wei of the Embassy of China, the Indian Women in Enterprise, Coco Mama, Chef Bruce Lim for Kikkoman, and Chef Gerick Manalo for NutriAsia. Each session offers visitors a closer look at the ingredients, techniques, and culinary traditions that make Asian cuisine so diverse and fascinating.

Beyond the food, the festival brings Asia’s rich cultural heritage to life through live music, dance, and artistic performances presented by participating embassies. These performances add another layer to the experience, allowing visitors to appreciate the cultures behind the flavors while enjoying a festive atmosphere.

Asian Eats has grown into one of the country’s premier celebrations of culinary diplomacy, demonstrating how food can foster cultural understanding, friendship, and regional cooperation.
